Come join Rob, Chris and the rest of the gang for a fun and educational event on Fly Fishing Pyramid Lake…
We will be hosting a free Party/Seminar at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno on Friday, January 30th with an optional full day clinic at Pyramid Lake on Saturday.
Friday night January 30th – Grand Sierra Ballroom 5:00pm to 9:00pm
We will be hosting a get together for anyone interested in learning more about Pyramid Lake and hanging out with fellow anglers. There will be lots of giveaways from sponsors including Scientific Anglers, Umpqua Feather Merchants, Winston Fly Rods, Simms, Glacier Glove and many more. There will also be a cash bar available.
We will start the evening off at 5:00 PM with some fly tying. This will be an open session anyone can attend. We will have some of the area’s best Pyramid Lake fly tiers on hand to demonstrate and help anglers hone their skills. Bring your vice or use one of ours and try your hand at a few Pyramid Lake patterns.
6:30 PM we will have a fly judging contest. Bring your best Pyramid Lake pattern with you and enter to win some great prizes and bragging rights for your flies.
From there we will have a presentation starting with some catch and release shots from the crowd and then on to fly fishing the lake. Rob Anderson has been giving this presentation all over the country for many years. It has valuable information on fishing locations, gear, rigging and gives anglers a look into the ever-changing fishing conditions at Pyramid. This program is not only educational but very entertaining as well.
After the show we will have some time for questions and answers and close out the evening with a free drawing for tons of giveaways from our many sponsors.

Saturday, January 31st – Pyramid Lake
On Saturday we will be having a day of on-the-water instruction at the lake. For those attending Friday night, the cost for Saturday at the lake is only $100 (normally $150). Anglers will be ready to go after a full evening of talking fly fishing.
We will meet at a pre-determined location and spend the day fishing and perfecting techniques we use to catch the world’s largest cutthroat trout. We have not only designed new, but also redefined some old techniques at Pyramid that we will share. A hot lunch will also be included.
You will go away from this outing with the confidence to return to the lake on your own and fish Pyramid Lake like a pro. These events are action packed and designed to help anglers of all levels. Space is very limited for the Saturday event to ensure appropriate attention may be given to each angler. Sign-ups are required for Saturday.
